Ask GripIQ, the project assistant

What the assistant is, where it lives, what it answers from, and where its limits are.

Ask GripIQ is a chat assistant built into every project page. You type a question about your project — “How visible are we versus our competitors?” — and it answers from that project’s own data instead of you gathering the numbers from several pages. It reads; it never changes anything.

On every project page a round chat button sits at the bottom right of the screen (Open the assistant). On a desktop it opens as a panel above the button, so the page behind it stays readable while you ask about it. On a phone it opens as a sheet from the bottom of the screen.

The panel header reads Ask GripIQ with the line Answers from {project}’s data. On a first open it shows three suggested questions you can pick with one tap:

  • What should we prioritise next?
  • How visible are we versus our competitors?
  • Which keywords have the most demand?

Closing the panel does not end the conversation: opening it again brings back the same thread, until it has gone idle (see Limits).

  • It only sees this project. The assistant answers from this project’s prompts, keywords, socials, and insights, plus summaries of the project’s context documents (briefs, positioning, tone of voice, market reports). It does not see other projects, billing, or administration — for those it points you to your account manager.
  • It reads summaries, not the documents themselves. Ask what your context documents say, and the assistant answers from their summaries; it also checks them when a question about prompts, keywords, or insights depends on your positioning or tone. Because it only has the summaries, it does not quote the documents word for word, and it tells you when a detail is not in them.
  • Every number comes from a check. While it works, the assistant shows a chip for each check it made, and the chips stay above the answer so you can see where it came from: Checked brand visibility, Checked which sources the models cite, Checked competitor activity, Read the latest insights, Looked up keyword demand, Checked what this project tracks, Compared performance per prompt, and Compared visibility over time. If the data is not there, it says so rather than guessing.
  • The answer streams in as it is written; you can read along and press Stop to end a turn early.
  • It answers in the language you write in.
  • It cannot change anything. If you ask it to create, edit, or delete something, it tells you where in the app you can do that yourself.

The assistant can be wrong. Check anything you act on against the page it came from.

  • Daily allowance. Each project has a daily allowance of assistant use, set by your plan — see Plans & quotas. When it is used up, the panel shows Daily limit reached. with the time it resets; you can still read the conversation, but not ask more until then.
  • Conversation length. A conversation has a maximum number of messages. When it is reached, the panel shows This conversation has reached its length limit. Start a new one to keep going. and the input box is replaced by a New conversation button.
  • Message length. Each message has a character limit; the input box stops accepting text when you reach it.
  • Too many questions at once. If you send many questions in quick succession, the assistant replies That was a lot of questions at once. Wait a moment and try again. and offers Try again; your question is put back in the box.
  • Idle conversations. A conversation that has been quiet for five minutes is closed. The next time you open the panel you start a fresh one, so an old topic does not colour a new question.

Every member of a project can use the assistant, whatever their role — including Contributor. If the chat button is missing from your project pages, ask your account manager.

  • Ask GripIQ about your project — open the assistant, ask, and follow up.
  • Insights — the recommendations the assistant reads when you ask what to do next.
  • Prompts — where brand visibility, cited sources, and prompt performance come from.
  • Keywords — where keyword demand comes from.
  • Plans & quotas — the daily assistant allowance per plan.
