Concept

Web

See which pages your brands and competitors add, remove, or change on their websites.

Web watches the websites of the brands in your project and tells you what changed since the last check. It is how you notice a competitor launching a product page, publishing a campaign, or quietly retiring a service.

Open Web in the navigation rail. It has one tab, Overview, with a filter bar, a Page count chart, a Change cadence chart, and a Website changes table. Select a change in the table to open its own page, with the added, removed, and modified URLs and the insights linked to it.

Website changes also appear in three other places:

  • Competitors — the activity feed, where each change is a card next to social posts.
  • A brand’s own page, in its Website changes block. See Read a brand’s page.
  • The Dashboard, in the Website changes card and the competitor timeline.

Every brand in your project can have one or more websites. A Team Admin adds or changes one on the brand’s page with Add website or Edit website. To remove a website, ask your account manager.

On your project’s scan schedule — daily, weekly, monthly, or disabled — GripIQ reads each website’s sitemap: the list of pages the site publishes for search engines. It compares that list with the previous check and works out which pages were added, removed, or modified. A page counts as modified when it was in both lists and its last-modified date changed.

If nothing changed, nothing is stored. You only ever see entries where something actually happened.

When there are changes, GripIQ writes a short summary of them in your project’s language and labels them with one or more content categories:

  • Offerings — products and services.
  • Insights — blog, knowledge, and research pages.
  • Corporate — company information, news, and about pages.
  • People & Support — careers, HR, and customer support.
  • Compliance — legal, privacy, and terms.

The categories tell you at a glance what kind of activity you are looking at. Ten new pages under Offerings is a product move; ten under Compliance usually is not.

Web works from the sitemap, so it reports which pages were added, removed, or marked as modified. It does not show you the text that changed inside a page.
